Why can't flat-Earthers create an agency like NASA to explore Earth to prove it is flat? What's preventing them from doing so?

For one thing, flat Earthers are lazy. The thing is, if Earth were flat, they would absolutely not need to create a new agency to demonstrate it. After all, NASA was not created to prove Earth is spherical, and humans knew it was spherical for millennia before NASA existed.

So there's simply no need to create a whole new government agency just for the shape of the Earth. They just need to put convincing evidence forward, and they consistently fail at this. They refuse to do science experiments correctly. They refuse to actually go to Antarctica for themselves even when presented with clear opportunities. They refuse to answer simple questions about their own model, opting instead to deflect.

I think flat Earthers, including the sincere ones who want to believe, know deep down that there is no evidence for their magic dirt pizza. Their refusal to falsify their own hypothesis betrays a lack of confidence. They are afraid that genuine, rigorous scientific inquiry will disprove their pre-selected conclusion. And their fear is perfectly justified, because it will.
